Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-01-01
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set the rules for using Chattering.ai. By signing up or using the product, you agree to follow them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
We've tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
1. Acceptance of Terms
When you create an account or use Chattering.ai in any way, you agree to these Terms. This applies whether you're on a free plan or a paid one.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use Chattering. When you sign up, give us accurate information — a real name and a working email address. Keep your password safe. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, so don't share your login with people who shouldn't have it.
3. Acceptable Use
Use Chattering for its intended purpose: running support, managing feedback, and publishing help content. Don't use it to:
- Break the law or help others break it
- Try to access other people's accounts or data
- Overload, attack, or interfere with the service
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Violate anyone else's rights
Our full Acceptable Use Policy covers this in more detail.
4. Intellectual Property
The Chattering.ai product — its code, design, and documentation — belongs to us. Your content (help articles, conversations, feedback data) belongs to you. We won't use your content for anything other than running the service for you.
5. Payment Terms
Paid plans are billed in advance, either monthly or annually. We process payments through Stripe. If you need a refund, email us and we'll handle it case by case. If we change our prices, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect.
6. Termination
You can cancel your account whenever you want. Just go to your billing settings or email us. If you break these Terms, we may suspend or close your account. Either way, you can export your data before your account is fully deleted.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
We work hard to keep Chattering reliable, but we provide the service "as is." That means we can't promise it will work perfectly every second of every day. Sometimes things break, and we fix them as fast as we can.
8. Limitation of Liability
If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what the law allows. We won't be responsible for indirect or consequential damages — for example, lost revenue or missed opportunities that result from a service outage. This is standard for software services and protects both sides.
9. Governing Law
These Terms follow the laws of the country where Chattering.ai is incorporated. If we ever end up in a dispute, we'll try to resolve it by talking first.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. For big changes, we'll email you. If you keep using the service after a change, that counts as accepting the new Terms.
